I’ve learnt while working as a business analyst in New Zealand, Australia and Singapore, that while technical skills are important, it’s creativity, self-confidence and the ability to get on with others that help us progress and realise our dreams. These skills are critical now more than ever in an increasingly technological world. I’ve encouraged these qualities in children through a range of pro bono teaching opportunities. My students include IHC corporations, Hawera Kindergarten, Corrigan Child Care, Maereroa School and many others. My fondness for children and desire to see them grow, saw me personally establish and fund an English school in a village in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
My skills with children include au pair experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and Care. My understanding of creative thinking and problem solving comes from experience as an independent contractor and my training during my Masters of Business Administration (Henley).
Most of all, I love good food!… from street food to fine dining and from all cultures. This passion led me to complete a Le Cordon Bleu Certificate in Cuisine in 2014. I have a warm and disciplined style, and connect easily with children.
